Not at all, learning pole will help you get fit.
I would recommend going to a studio near you to have your first classes under supervision and guidance. When you become familiar with the movement and want to expand your movement vocabulary from the comfort of your own home, you can invest in a pole to install at home.

For some classes you may need one. Each workshop will specify whether you need a pole. You can find this information on the ‘book now’ tab. I offer at least one workshop a month where a pole is not needed. Also Strength and Stretch classes do not require a pole.

Not at all, but regular practice is will help you improve faster. It is a practice thing, the more you practice the better you’ll be at something.
If you want to level up faster I would recommend doing some crosstraining. whether that is strength & Stretch classes with me or finding something that interests you such as calisthenics, gymnastics, climbing, martial arts etc.. Not all exercises has to be the gym… unless you love the gym, then do you boo!
By challenging your body in various ways you will not only build strength faster, but you will also reduce the risk of injury as you are training different parts of the body and reducing overtraining in certain muscles.

Volunteering in your local park, nature reserve or Forest is a great way to become more involved with nature. You can find opportunities by using the good ol’ google to find out who to contact.
If you live in London (North East London) or Essex, you are more than welcome to come along to a session with me at Hainault Forest. I lead practical Nature Conservation sessions every Friday and Saturday. We meet at 10am in this location https://w3w.co/bunch.dawn.offer . The sessions are 4 hours long, but there is no pressure on staying the whole time. Bring some snacks and water as well as weather-appropriate clothing. We do all types practical skills from planting, to hedgelaying, to felling trees, to taking care of the orchards. There is always something to do. So feel free to contact me for more information or just come along on the day when you feel like it.

As much as I love to mix nature and pole, all my lessons are taught online or in studios. I personally try to play with my skills in nature as often as i can though.
Plus internet connection is poor in the Forest. I am up for jam sessions for 1-2-1 in person movement sessions in the Forest. Contact me at info@rangingpoler.com if you’re feeling like getting your wiggle on in the forest with me.
