Floor Play is one of Eva’s favorite pastime activities. We will be putting a spin on some of our traditional pole-assisted floor tricks and explore the variety within them, their entrances & exits.
The focus will be the techniques of these tricks. When the body lacks awareness & coordination, it limits our ability to safely create variations & options to flow into desired shapes from various positions. We will be weaving these approaches into our flow, building a repertoire of floor movement vocabulary.
This workshop will build upon some of the movement principles we learnt within the Continuous Motion workshop, spending time visiting our standing to floor work transitions and incorporating our newly gained choiceful floor tricks.
Each session in this workshop collection compliments each other, and you will get more out of them if you choose to join more than one. It is not essential to have attended the previous workshop.
Wilde Coaching session is included with this workshop on the 30th November. 30 minutes is dedicated to answering any questions & working on things that still feel unclear after some time & practice post-workshops. It is a time for asking workshop-related questions, getting feedback on sticky movement & practicing some of things we’ve learnt in the workshops.
Pre-requisites: experience of some flow techniques such as shoulder rolls would be useful, but not essential. Upper beginner & beyond.
